What is chicken collagen type II?
1. Hydrolyzed Chicken collagen is the collagen powder extricated from chicken bosom or chicken sternum.It is a yellowish powder, with a mass denstiy around 0.4g/ml. It is usally stuffed into a 15KG or 20KG drum.
2. The articular cartilage is composed mainly of water (75%), collagen type II (15%) and aggrecans (9%) such as hyaluronic acid and chondroitin. Type II collagen is the predominant form of collagen in the sternal cartilage and accounts for approximately 60% of the dry weight of the cartilage. Dietary supplements that contain collagen type II, hyaluronic acid, and chondroitin sulfate is beneficial during aging and treating joint diseases.
